1. Who we are
This website, https://olibubu.com (the "Site"), is run by OlibuBu LLC ("OlibuBu", "we", "us"). We make videos, games and books for young children. You can reach us at:

2. What this website collects
No personal information. You never have to type anything to use the Site, and there is nowhere to type it. The Site has:
- no sign-up, newsletter or contact forms, and no accounts or log-ins
- no advertising, and no analytics or tracking tools (such as Google Analytics or social media "pixels")
- no cookies
- no embedded videos, social media buttons or other content loaded from other companies. Even our fonts are stored on our own server.
We don't sell, rent or share personal information, because we don't collect it.
3. Server logs
Like nearly every website, our web hosting provider automatically records basic technical details whenever a device loads a page: the device's IP address, browser type, the page or file requested (such as a picture, a sound or a video), the page it came from, and the time.
We use these logs only to keep the Site running and secure, for example to fix errors and block attacks. We never use them to identify or contact anyone, to build profiles, or for advertising, and we don't combine them with any other information. No one but us and our hosting provider, which stores them for us, can access them. Server logs are deleted within 30 days.
4. Our games & things saved on your own device
The games on the Site (on the homepage and on our Games page) run entirely inside your web browser. They have no ads, chat, accounts or purchases, they never ask for any information, and apart from downloading their pictures and sounds from this website (which our hosting provider logs like any other page, see section 3), they don't send anything anywhere.
To make the games more fun, a few things are remembered in your own browser: stars, stickers and unlocked ice cream flavors, sound and voice settings, which character you picked as your "buddy", and how many times you've found DuckyBu in hide-and-seek. This is saved in your browser's built-in storage. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can erase it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Some games read aloud using recorded voices of OlibuBu and his friends, and play animal sounds. These are ordinary sound files stored on this website: your browser downloads each one from our website the first time it plays, just like a picture, so our hosting provider's standard server logs (see section 3) may show which sound files were loaded. The games never listen to or record your child, and nothing is sent to anyone else. If a recording is missing, the game uses a voice built into your device instead, never an online voice.
5. If you email us
If you choose to email hello@olibubu.com, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We never add you to a mailing list or share your message with anyone else. We delete emails once the conversation is finished, and within 12 months at the latest.
Our email address is meant for grown-ups. If we learn that a child under 13 has emailed us, we will reply once, only if a reply is needed (to a parent if possible), and then delete the message and the child's email address.
6. Children's privacy
OlibuBu is made for young children, so we built this Site to collect no personal information from children. Kids can explore every page without typing anything, and nothing on the Site asks them for information.
7. Links to other websites
Some buttons on the Site, marked for grown-ups, open other companies' websites, such as YouTube, TikTok and Amazon. Before any button that leaves the Site works (including our email button), the Site shows a quick grown-ups check: a simple question young children can't read, so kids can't leave by accident. Nothing is shared with those companies unless a grown-up passes the check and continues. Once you are on their sites, their privacy policies and rules apply, not ours. Social media apps such as TikTok are for people aged 13 and over.
Our episodes play right here on the Site from video files stored on our own website, the same way as our pictures. Nothing is loaded from YouTube or any other company while your child watches, and the only record is our hosting provider's standard server log showing that the video file was loaded (see section 3). The copies of our videos on YouTube are marked "Made for Kids", which tells YouTube to limit the information it collects from people watching them there and to turn off personalized ads and comments on them.
8. Security
Because the Site doesn't collect personal information, there is very little to protect, but we still take care: the whole Site is served over secure HTTPS, and only the site owner can access our hosting and email accounts.
9. Your choices
Anyone can ask us what information we have about them (usually none, unless you emailed us) and ask us to delete it. Just email hello@olibubu.com. We'll reply within 30 days, and there is never a charge.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how the Site works (for example, if we ever add a newsletter), we will update this policy before the change goes live and change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We will never start collecting personal information from children without first meeting the requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), including getting a parent's permission where it is required.
